Alternaria Leafspot |
This disease is usually a problem only under very hot, wet conditions. Reduce the periods of leaf wetness to facilitate disease management. Thiophanate-methyl will not control Alternaria. The following fungicides are labeled in New York for the control of this disease on the plants specified: |
azoxystrobin |
Heritage |
100-1093 |
4 |
Plants: catharanthus, chrysanthemum, geranium, and other plants (see label) |
Comments: User should conduct small-scale tests to ensure safety when applying to plants not listed on the label. Conduct trials before using in a tank mix with any material. Do not use a silicone-based surfactant. For resistance management, do not make more than three sequential applications of Heritage—alternate with two applications of a non-strobilurin fungicide. |

Anthracnoses |
(caused by Gloeosporium, Colletotrichum, Elsinoe, etc.) |
Anthracnose diseases are spread by splashing and develop under conditions that retain a film of water on the foliage. Keep foliage dry by watering early in the day and promoting good air circulation. The following fungicides are labeled in New York for the control of anthracnoses on the plants specified. |
